Principal's Message
Dear Sparta School Community,
My work here at Sparta School began here on Monday, October 2nd. I look forward to leading the school. It is an honor to work closely with our Sparta School staff each day! The idea of a "commitment to excellence" of our school staff is my goal for the 2023-2024 Sparta School year.
Our school has so much potential to reach its student achievement goals. This year, each student will receive good teaching in their core subjects and personalized learning in reading, writing and math; and beyond their core academics. Students will also have many opportunities to look at our community, state, nation and world by engaging in a variety of lessons provided by our science and social studies teachers.
The staff and I will expect our students to model positive behaviors each day. Our high expectations for student behavior can result in our students having more opportunities to show that they are smart, kind and all around good kids every day at school! We look forward to comments from parents and stakeholders this year. The staff at our school wants our classrooms to be awesome places for our students to learn. I know from my position, that I have had the intention each day of helping teach our students to learn more each day about both the traits of respect and responsibility. Starting my tenure as principal at Sparta School will allow me to have a hand in creating our student vision for success. We will lean heavily on our teachers, staff and committees this school year to involve our Sparta School family. I look forward to seeing increases in student focus, effort and resilience. If I can be of any help to you, please phone or email me.
Sincerely,
Gerald Miller, Ed.D.
